On August 15, 2015, The Coalition was joined by a stalwart of Rhode Island's anti-natural gas expansion movement, Dr. Peter Nightingale. Dr. Nightingale has some strong feelings about expanding Rhode Island's use of fossil fuels. So strong, in fact, that he recently secured himself to the gate of the SPECTRA pipeline compressor station in Burrillville in an act of protest. He was subsequently arrested for this act of civil disobedience.
